Supports

The Administrator provides trauma-informed, culturally safe support at no cost for Class Members, their families and those assisting them throughout the process. Whether you are a Claimant, a family member or a service provider, help is available every step of the way.

The following supports are delivered independently by the Administrator and are not connected to any government programs or agencies.

Administrator’s Contact Centre

The Administrator’s Contact Centre serves as the primary point of contact for Claimants. Contact Centre staff can provide information and answer questions about the Settlement Agreement, the Claims Processes and how to complete a Claim Form.

The Administrator’s Contact Centre can also refer Claimants to Claims Helpers if additional support is needed.

Regional Liaisons

Regional Liaisons support First Nations leadership and ​First Nation organizations ​in ​each region. They act as the key point of contact for First Nations and First Nation organizations to help ensure they are informed about the Settlement and Claims Processes​.

Claims Helpers

Claims Helpers offer individualized support to Claimants who need additional help throughout the Claims Process​​.

Claims Helpers are located across the country and work to help Claimants obtain supporting documentation, complete Claim Forms and access cultural and wellness services and supports.

Wellness support

Free mental health and wellness support is available to Class Members 24 hours a day through the Hope for Wellness Helpline at 1‑855‑242‑3310 or online at HopeForWellness.ca.

Support is available in English, French, Cree and Ojibway (Anishinaabemowin) on request.
